Kurali, October 21, 2024 — Police in Kurali arrested three shopkeepers on Saturday for selling firecrackers without the necessary licenses.
The accused, Anmol Singh, Mithlesh Kumar, and Narendra Kumar, all residents of Kurali, were apprehended following a tip-off regarding their illegal activities.
After conducting a raid on their shops, authorities seized the unlicensed firecrackers. All three individuals have been charged under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including Section 223 for disobedience to lawful orders, Section 287 for negligent conduct concerning fire or combustible materials, and Section 288 for negligent conduct related to explosive substances.
In a separate incident, police also intercepted a Mahindra Bolero vehicle near Singhpura village, which was transporting firecrackers without a permit. The driver, Tilak Raj from Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh, was arrested and subsequently released on bail by the Sadar Kurali police.
