Jalandhar, April 29: Aam Aadmi Party Punjab President Aman Arora declared on Wednesday that the political discourse surrounding Raghav Chadha’s departure has concluded for the party. Speaking during a major observer meeting at the CT Group of Institutions in Jalandhar, Arora maintained that the situation was a short-lived news cycle that no longer impacts the party’s internal operations.
The state president addressed the recent exit of seven party MPs, stating that the matter is being unnecessarily amplified by external voices. Arora affirmed that the departure of these individuals would not harm the party’s standing, as the strength of the organization lies with leaders who maintain a direct connection with the grassroots. He noted that while the party had initially selected these figures for their public prominence, their inability to maintain a base was their own responsibility.
During the gathering of nearly 1,000 observers, Arora denied reports that other MLAs were facing pressure to defect or receiving calls from rival political groups. He stated that no party members have indicated they are in touch with opposition parties. He maintained that AAP remains focused on its core ideology and the pulse of the people rather than the politics of intimidation, which he attributed to other national parties.
Arora also dismissed personal rumors regarding his own family’s loyalty to the party. He declared that despite years of speculation from the opposition about his potential exit, he remains firmly committed to the organization. He stated that the current meeting serves as a routine exercise to gather ground-level feedback on public issues, ensuring the party stays aligned with the needs of the electorate.
