Seven MRSFPI Cadets Commissioned into Armed Forces

Minister Aman Arora Inspires New Officers to Serve with Distinction

Chandigarh, June 13: Seven former cadets from the Maharaja Ranjit Singh Armed Forces Preparatory Institute became commissioned officers in the Indian Army and the Indian Air Force on Saturday. The achievement marks a significant milestone for the state-run training academy in its ongoing contribution to the national defence services.

Four of the newly commissioned officers joined the Indian Army following the 158th Regular Course Passing Out Parade at the Indian Military Academy in Dehradun, an event reviewed by the President of India, Droupadi Murmu. The group includes Paramjot Singh and Aniket Kahol from Hoshiarpur, Abhay Singh Raghav from Mohali, and Anurag Chauhan from Pathankot. Concurrently, three additional cadets graduated as Flying Officers from the Air Force Academy in Dundigal, Hyderabad, during the 217th Course Combined Graduation Parade, which was inspected by Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. The new Air Force officers include Udaybir Singh from Ropar, alongside Vasu Mehta and Karan Koshish, both residents of SAS Nagar.

Punjab Employment Generation, Skill Development, and Training Minister Aman Arora extended congratulations to the officers, encouraging them to maintain a high standard of dedication throughout their careers. The Minister stated that the Punjab Government remains committed to providing comprehensive support to help youth from the state enter the armed forces. He affirmed that with the induction of these seven individuals, the total number of institute cadets commissioned during the current state administration has reached ninety-seven. Major General Ajay H. Chauhan (Retd), Director of the institute, also praised the graduates, advising them to uphold the core values of the military services.
