Chandigarh, Jan 22: Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini has approved over ₹3.87 crore for the establishment of seven permanent Lok Adalats in the state, ensuring each district has its own separate facility.
An additional ₹35 lakh has been sanctioned for public utility services, with ₹5 lakh allocated per Lok Adalat.
According to a government spokesperson, these Lok Adalats will be set up in Charkhi Dadri, Fatehabad, Jind, Jhajjar, Mewat, Narnaul, and Palwal.
Administrative approval includes posts for chairpersons, members, and staff in these districts. Notably, Charkhi Dadri, currently without any court facility, is set to benefit from this decision.
The move aims to extend permanent Lok Adalat services, which are currently operational in 15 districts, including Ambala, Faridabad, Gurgaon, and Hisar, among others.
Currently, camp courts serve regions like Fatehabad, Jind, and Mewat.
This step underscores the state’s commitment to enhancing access to justice, particularly in districts lacking regular legal infrastructure.
Haryana comprises 22 districts, with 15 already hosting permanent Lok Adalats for public utility services.
