HANSI, Haryana, June 11 — A 25-year-old fitness entrepreneur was shot and killed by unidentified attackers early Thursday morning while leading a training group in the town of Hansi.
The victim, identified as Deepak, was conducting an outdoor instructional routine with several of his clients near Fawwara Chowk around 5:30 a.m. Witnesses reported that two individuals riding a motorcycle approached the gathering and pulled out firearms, targeting the gym operator directly. Deepak sustained multiple gunshot wounds across his body and succumbed to his injuries at the scene before medical help could arrive.
Local authorities arrived shortly after the shooting to secure the area and initiate a forensic examination. Investigators noted that closed-circuit television cameras nearby captured the entire progression of the assault. The footage, which shows the sudden approach of the gunmen and the ensuing panic among the trainees, has been preserved by law enforcement to help identify the registration details of the vehicle and the descriptions of the masked shooters.
“The attackers acted with sudden speed and fled immediately after discharging their weapons,” a local police official stated. The department has formed specialized teams to trace the escape route of the suspects, though no arrests have been announced.
Community members expressed shock over the brazen daylight shooting in a public space. A witness from the training group, who requested anonymity, remarked that everything happened within a matter of seconds, leaving no time for anyone to intervene or seek cover.
A definitive motive behind the targeted killing has not yet been established. Officials declared that all potential leads, including personal rivalries or business disputes, are being scrutinized closely as the regional homicide investigation continues.
