Ranchi, 15 November 2024: Prime Minister Narendra Modi experienced a brief delay at Deoghar airport after a technical fault was detected in his helicopter during the second phase of the Jharkhand Assembly election campaign.
Modi, who had been addressing a public gathering on Janjati Gaurav Diwas, awaited clearance to return to Delhi following the malfunction.
The issue arose after Modi’s rally in Jamui, Bihar, where he was scheduled to fly back to New Delhi on an Indian Air Force aircraft.
However, due to a ‘no flying zone’ declared in the area, Modi’s departure was momentarily stalled.
Meanwhile, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi faced similar issues as his helicopter couldn’t take off due to the same restrictions, leading to allegations from the Congress party of unfair targeting by local authorities.
Earlier in Jamui, Modi paid tribute to tribal hero Birsa Munda on Adivasi Gaurav Diwas and inaugurated several development projects worth Rs 6,640 crore.
