Chandigarh, Sept 15: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann affirmed that the state government has instituted a comprehensive campaign to dismantle drug supply lines and organized crime networks across the state.
Speaking to reporters in Chandigarh, the Chief Minister declared that law enforcement authorities have successfully extradited 10 gangsters from abroad since January and eliminated nearly 80 percent of illegal drug flow across the international border with Pakistan. Mann maintained that police action is actively shifting to target inter-state supply routes originating in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan to secure the state’s borders.
The Chief Minister asserted that opposition political parties should refrain from engaging in opportunism and instead present a clear development vision for the state. Officials reiterated that state police forces remain focused on arresting syndicate operatives, seizing illegal weapons, and choking financial channels to protect public peace and national security.
