Chandigarh, April 19: Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann departed for the Netherlands on Saturday to engage with global industry leaders and secure new investment for Punjab’s industrial sectors. The visit focuses on establishing bilateral partnerships in key areas such as food processing, pharmaceuticals, information technology, and logistics to further the state’s economic development goals.

The Chief Minister asserted that the administration aims to position Punjab as a top choice for international investors through consistent policy and efficient governance. This vision is simple and clear to make Punjab a preferred destination for global industry by offering stability in policy, speed in decision-making, and a governance system that respects the time and trust of investors, Mann stated before his departure.

During the visit, the delegation will showcase recent regulatory reforms designed to simplify business operations. These include the “FastTrack Punjab” single-window system, which provides over 173 services to businesses, and amendments to the Punjab Right to Business Act that allow for time-bound approvals. Mann maintained that these tools, combined with a skilled workforce and quality power supply, make the state a competitive hub in North India.

The relationship between the two regions has already seen practical success through the Indo-Dutch Centre of Excellence for Potato and the De Heus factory in Rajpura. The Chief Minister affirmed that the current mission will build on this foundation through one-to-one meetings and industrial roadshows. He declared that the state’s strategic connectivity to major ports and the National Capital Region remains a primary advantage for European corporations looking to expand.
